New Anderlecht signing Sacha Kljestan, who narrowly missed out on representing the United States at this past World Cup is pleased to be back in the US national team fold.

"It feels good," the California native told YA at the press conference leading up to the US-Brazil game at the New Meadowlands Stadium. "It's just a single [match] date so its going to come and go pretty quickly but I'm happy to be back especially after missing out on the World Cup. It's pretty exciting."

Kljestan, who played his college soccer at Seton Hall in New Jersey, is especially happy to return to the Garden State.

"I love Jersey," he boasted. "It's my second home after California and I'm pretty excited to make my first trip back to the states, here to Jersey and see some friends and family."

As much as he loves returning home, the midfielder is also happy in his new surroundings in the Belgian capital.

"I like it a lot," Kljestan said of Anderlecht. "I really love Belgium and Anderlecht is a great club. We started out the season really well, so everything has been going really well so far."

After playing against the five-time World Cup champions, Kjlestan will fly out of Newark Airport in time for Anderlecht's next game when they take on G. Beerschot in Brussels on Saturday evening in Eerste Klasse action.
