Sacha Kljestan scored his first league goal for Anderlecht who thumped hapless Lokeren on Saturday evening at Daknamstadion Stadium in Lokeren.

Kljestan received the starting nod from head coach Ariel Jacobs and went the distance in the resounding victory.

It was a solid performace by the former Chivas USA midfielder who had not featured in Anderlecht's previous two matches.

Kljestan's goal was the first of the match for the visitors and it came in the 32 minute when Guillaume Gillet chased down a ball just moments before it was going to cross the end line.

Gillet managed to play a chip back into the area which found an onrushing Klejstan who headed towards the far post for the goal.

Kanu doubled the margin for the Purple & White in the 52nd minute but the credit should go to Mbark Boussoufa who played a ball through to the Brazilian from his back. It was an otherwordly delivery that only required a clinical finish to extend the lead.

Boussoufa received a just reward for his brilliant pass by tallying a goal of his own off a penalty kick in the 73rd minute.

The Moroccan had tried to play a ball into Kljestan who made a good run into the box, however the pass was deflected right back to Boussoufa who was then brought down in the area.

The decisive victory keeps Anderlecht in third place in the Eerste Klasse standing with 10 points.

Kljestan and company next return home for a midweek Champions League clash versus Partizan Belgrade and then a weekend league affair versus Zulte-Waregem.
