Sammy Ochoa and Estudiantes were undone by a series of defensive errors as they fell to Chivas on the road Sunday night at Estadio Omnilife.

Ochoa started up front for Estudiantes head coach Miguel Herrera and played the first 73 minutes before yielding his spot to Taufic Eduardo Guarch.

The match completed week four of the Mexican Apertura three weeks after the fact due to Chivas' involvement in the Copa Libertadores final.

Long-time veteran Omar Bravo opened the scoring in the 37th minute when he was left unmarked at the back post and connected on a Marco Fabián de la Mora cross to put the hosts ahead.

Chivas doubled the margin in the 74th minute when Michel Vázquez's streaked down the right side and through the Estudiantes defense before slipping a shot just inside the near post.

The Guadalajara club put the match further out of reach in the 90th minute when De la Mora calmly gathered in an Omar Arellano cross from the right and deposited a shot into the back of the net.

Ochoa and company will try to dust themselves off next week when they head to the Yucatan Peninsula to face Atlante.
