Lamar Neagle has become the second American to join Finnish Veikkausliiga club IFK Mariehamn in the span of seven days after agreeing to terms with the club late last week.

Neagle is fresh off of leading the Charleston Battery to the USL-2 championship where he played major role up front for the team.

The striker joins fellow American Mason Trafford as a recent addition to the club located in the Aland Islands.

Like Trafford, Neagle starred at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas before starting his professional career.

The native of Tacoma, Washington tallied 12 goals in 19 games for the Battery prior to arriving in Finland where he will hope to have the opportunity to continue with the club beyond the current campaign.

"Lamar has signed a contract for two months and there is an option for two years," confirmed Mariehamn Press Officer Peter Mattsson to YA.

Neagle and Mariehamn return to Veikkausliiga action this Sunday when they host red-hot TPS.
