PREVIEW: RANGERS - DUNFERMLINE
Maurice Edu and Rangers return for another midweek affair by beginning their defense of the Scottish League Cup on Tuesday versus Dunfermline.
Edu started and played the first 70 minutes in Rangers' resounding 4-0 win over Dundee United on Saturday and the Californian should be in line for another start on Tuesday.
The match against the Scottish First Division team will likely feature a number of reserves and bench players, however with head coach Walter Smith already working with a thin roster, it stands to reason that Edu will see the field at Ibrox Stadium against the Pars.
Rangers captured this tournament a year ago for a record 26th time and will be out to put their stamp on this year's edition.
Unlike the Light Blues who received a bye for the first two rounds, Dunfermline have had to battle their way to reach this point.
Tuesday's visitors topped Arbroath 5-2 in the first round and then slid past Clyde 3-2 in the second round to earn a date with the holders.
Outside of Andy Webster and John Fleck, Smith will have a full squad at his disposal while the visitors will be without David Graham and Greg Paterson.
