PREVIEW: HEARTS - RANGERS
There is no rest for the weary as Maurice Edu and Rangers return to action just three days after their Champions League victory when they travel to Tynecastle Stadium on Saturday to face Hearts.
Edu played the full 90 minutes in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over Turkish club Bursaspor and might be called on again by head coach Walter Smith to do another two halves tour of duty in the midfield against the Edinburgh club.
In addition to their Champions League campaign, the Light Blues domestic play has also been impressive as they sit neck and neck with hated rivals Celtic for top place in the Scottish Premier League.
Striker Kenny Miller continues to be lights-out for Rangers with an astounding ten goals in just six matches.
On the other end, Edu has helped man the central artery of the Light Blues' defense while Madjid Bougherra continues to excel at right back.
The Algerian was outstanding against Bursapor on Wednesday and is just one of the reasons why opponents have only netted five times against Rangers thus far in SPL play.
Hearts are coming off a disappointing home loss to Motherwell last weekend which followed a 4-3 defeat to Falkirk in the Scottish League Cup.
The Jambos are still fourth in the league standings with eight points.
John Fleck continues to be sidelined with an injury and is out for Rangers while James Beattie will be in a race against time to be given a clean bill of health for Saturday's contest.
Hearts will be without Lee Wallace, Marius Zaliukas, Rudi Skacel, Dawid Kucharski and Andrew Driver.
