PREVIEW: RANGERS - INVERNESS
Thursday, October 28, 2010
Maurice Edu will load up his lunch pail once again as Rangers return home to Ibrox Stadium to take on Inverness in Scottish Premier League action on Saturday.

Edu looks set to start in Walter Smith's central midfield for the Light Blues who are looking to extend their winning streak to a jaw-dropping 10 matches to start the SPL season.

That is in addition to their unbeaten mark in the current UEFA Champions League group stage and their place in the League Cup semifinals.

It came as a bit of a surprise that the Californian featured in all 90 minutes during Wednesday's League Cup win over Kilmarnock, however a full run-out for Edu in every Rangers match now appears to the norm.

While Kenny Miller receives the bulk of the headlines for his astounding goal-scoring prowess, it has been Steven Naismith who has provided the spark for the Light Blues as of late.

Naismith once again showed his class against Killie setting up Andy Little for the game's first goal and then tallying one of his own that put the nail in the coffin in the second half.

Saturday's opponent in Inverness is one to be reckoned with having taken 10 points out of their last four matches.

The Caley Jags are led by forward Adam Rooney who has five goals on the season.

Sasa Papac and Andy Webster appear to be out for Rangers as well as Nikica Jelavic who is sidelined with a long term injury.

Gil Blumenshtein, David Proctor, Chris Innes, Lee Cox and Kenny Gillet are all out for Inverness.
