DAVID SMITH - Monday, November 29, 2010
Michael Parkhurst went the distance in Nordsjaelland's central defense on Sunday afternoon as the team fought back for a dramatic last-second draw with SønderjyskE.

FC Nordsjaelland 1 - 1 SønderjyskE

The Wild Tigers controlled the game with their usual display of passing, however were greeted near the SønderjyskE goal with a brick wall of defenders which thwarted them at every move.

The visitors took a surprise lead after 50 minutes when a loose display of defending left Mustafa Kucukovic free on a free kick to head past Jesper Hansen to put the visitors ahead.

Nordsjaelland ratcheted up the pressure over the final 40 minutes in search of an equalizing goal, with a number of chances barely missing the mark.

Their tenacious play was finally rewarded in the dying seconds of injury time, when second-half substitute Andreas Granskov-Hansen slipped free and knocked in a pass from Bajram Fetai to salvage the point for the hosts.

With the draw, the Wild Tigers are now two points clear of the relegation zone in ninth place with one game left before the winter break. They will close 2010 with a home game against Horsens on Sunday.

Chris Rolfe and Marcus Tracy are both injured through the end of 2010 and will missed Aalborg's Monday-evening scoreless draw at AC Horsens.
