PREVIEW: ZULTE WAREGEM - ANDERLECHT
MICHAEL ADUBATO - Friday, December 3, 2010
Licking their wounds after a 3 - 1 defeat at the hands of Zenit St. Petersburg in Europa Cup action, Anderlecht returns to league action this Sunday when they take on 11th place Zulte Waregem.

Sacha Kljestan went the distance for Les Mauves in the frigid Russian weather and returned home unscathed, however a few team mates were not as fortunate. Argentinian striker Matias Suarez and Hungarian defender Roland Juhasz were both treated for mild frostbite on their feet due to the sub-freezing conditions. Suarez actually replaced Jonathan Legear to start the second half after the Belgian went off with an ankle injury. Kanu also limped off with a quadricep injury and is expected to miss out on Sunday.

Their Flemish opponents are not reporting any new injuries at this time and have had a week to prepare for their clash with the Belgian champions, compared to Anderlecht who will see action after their long distance round trip flight to Russia midweek.

Last weekend Waregem battled to a scoreless draw with Mechelen, however they upset Standard Liege the week prior, so Kljestan and his team mates know that they could have a tough game on their hands.
