PREVIEW: MIDWEEK ENGLISH ACTION
Tim Howard and Everton host Tottenham while Clint Dempsey and Brad Friedel both will be looking for vital wins in a full midweek of English action.
Fulham - West Brom
Clint Dempsey and Fulham would get a major boost with a win at home against West Brom.
West Brom has played strongly over the season but currently sit in 14th position, three points above 18th place Fulham.
The visitors were unlucky to lose to Manchester United in their last outing and only J Olsson misses after being out with an achilles injury.
Fulham continue to get players back as Matthew Briggs and Frank Stoor remain the only two players nursing minor injuries. Bobby Zamora and Philippe Senderos are both out for another month before their complete their return.
Aston Villa - Sunderland
Brad Friedel and Aston Villa will look to take encouragement from their weekend draw at Chelsea when they welcome Sunderland to Villa Park.
Sunderland top the Premier League injury list with eight players currently sidelined. Joe Mensah could return after sitting out with his ankle injury while four players will be in a race against time.
Nedum Onouha is carrying a hamstring injury while Trevor Carson, Matt Kilgallon, and Andy Reid are out on loan but also carrying injuries. Lee Cattermole is out with a back injury and will miss the next week, while M Turner is out until the end of February. Fraizer Campbell is out until May with an ACL knee injury.
Aston Villa stunned the champions as they fought back to earn a 3-3 draw at Stamford Bridge and will look to continue in the same fashion at home. Luke Young could make a return from his hip injury while Andreas Weimann is out for another month with his ankle injury.
Everton - Tottenham
Tim Howard and Everton will need to be at their very best if they want to beat Tottenham at Goodison Park.
Everton were on the wrong side of a 2-0 away result at Stoke City and slipped to 13th place, just three points above the relegation zone.
Everton only have three injuries as Johny Heitinga is out for another week with his knee injury. Ross Barkley is out until March with a broken leg while Leon Osman has been sideliend with an ankle injury.
Tottenham have six players carrying injuries with Robbie Keane out for another week with a hamstring injury and Tom Huddlestone carrying an ankle injury. Carlos Cudicini is out with a shoulder injury while Ledley King is out with a groin injury. Jamie O'Hara and Jonathan Woodgate are both also sidelined.
Jonathan Spector will hope to make the bench against Newcastle after being dropped in West Ham's last outing.
Marcus Hahnemann will be on the Wolves bench when Chelsea come to town.
Stuart Holden will be in a race against time to be declared healthy as Bolton host Wigan.
