JAMIE HILL - Friday, January 7, 2011
US Soccer announced that Eugene Starikov will join the senior national team in camp at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.

The 22 year-old Ukraine-born American came on strong during the second half of the season for Tom Tomsk in the Russian Premier League.

Starikov, who was on loan from Zenit St. Petersburg, spent much of the season on the bench and with the reserves, but when called upon he seized the opportunity and forced his way into the starting lineup, scoring once.

Stetson University alum Starikov becomes the fourth foreign-based player at Bradley's January camp, joining Dominic Cervi, Ryan Miller, and Mikkel "Mix" Diskerud.

A fifth overseas player, Alejandro Bedoya, was called up, but not released by his team Orebro of Sweden.
