RECAP: WOLVERHAMPTON 5 - 0 DONCASTER
Marcus Hahnemann's fifth minute save inspired Wolves to turn on the lights as they hit Doncaster for five at home.
Selfish and sloppy play saw Doncaster strip Wolves of possession through Dean Shiels who played Billy Sharp into the box. Hahnemann was on hand however to quickly snuff out the attack as Sharp was barely able to trouble the aggressive keeper.
The save pushed Wolves forward and Steven Fletcher got the opener through a header from six yards out, redirecting Stephen Hunt's cross.
A slew of passes in the attacking half for Wolves ended at the feet of Geoffrey Mujangi Bia. Receiving the ball from the flank Mujangi Bia wasted no time and his shot took a slight deflection past Neil Sullivan for the killer goal in the 61st.
Just five minutes later Kevin Doyle scored on his return with an intelligent goal, quickly shooting past Sullivan's near post for the third of the night.
Matthew Jarvis scored in the 74th as Doncaster fell apart. Jarvis made a great run across the back line and his first touch took him straight at goal. With the entire right side of the net open Jarvis kept his composure and buried his shot from 12 yards out into the far corner.
David Jones ended the scoring for Wolves who added the fifth in the dying seconds. Scoring his first goal since opening day, the midfielder sent in a tame yet accurate shot the the far post and Sullivan was unable to find it through the crowd. No cards were issued in the game as Wolves progress onto the next round.
Up next for Wolves, a weekend home game against Liverpool.
