It was a very long day at the office for Herculez Gomez and Pachuca who were hammered at home against Cruz Azul in week four of the Mexican Clausura.

Pachuca 0 - 4 Cruz Azul

The home fans at Estadio Hidalgo were left shaking their heads in disbelief as Cruz Azul rolled into town and layed an absolute beatdown on Pachuca on Saturday evening.

Herculez Gomez came off the bench at halftime but was unable to help the Tuzos muster any offense in the second half.

Compatriot Jose Francisco Torres had the misfortune of having to watch this one from the bench.

Hugo Droguett opened the scoring for the guests in the 40th minute taking ion a pass from Gerardo Torrado and sending a left-footed shot into the back of the net.

The margin doubled in the 61st when Emanuel Villa's free kick from just outside the area was deflected right to Julio César Domínguez who had an easy tap in for goal.

Cruz Azul added a third just 13 minutes later, this time by Alejandro Castro who scored from 25 yards out.

Pachuca could only watch helplessly as their foes added the fourth and final goal three minutes from time when Chaco Gimenez fed César Villaluz at the six yard line and Villaluz slotted it home.

The Tuzos will look to regroup next weekend when they visit Apertura champions Monterrey.

Edgar Castillo played the final 17 minutes of Puebla's 2-0 loss at Atlante.

Jonathan Bornstein watched from the bench as Tigres fell at home 0-1 to Toluca.

Isaac Acuna did not see the field in Gallos Blancos' 1-0 victory over Necaxa.

Neither Daniel Antunez nor Sammy Ochoa saw any playing time in Estudiantes' last second 1-0 win over Chivas.
