PREVIEW: ST. ETIENNE – STADE BRESTOIS
St. Etienne return to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to find a way out of their four-game losing streak against their neighbors in the standings.
Carlos Bocanegra can expect to get the start in the backline for Les Verts, having become a constant fixture in the changing starting eleven.
Christophe Galtier's group know they face a foe with the same amount of points as them in the standings, and cannot afford to lose at home as they did two weekends ago against a struggling OSG Nice squad.
The past four weekends have seen the Stephanois drop from fifth to tenth in the Ligue 1 standings. With twelve games to go in the season, the St. Etienne still have a chance to pursue available Europe-bound spots, but must also avoid any sort of relegation worries.
Sylvain Marchal and Loris Néry will make a return to the St. Etienne lineup, as will defender Albin Ebondo after a suspension, but captain Loic Perrin will be absent after having picked up three yellow cards.
Brest will surely recall their arousing 2-0 defeat at home the last time the two opponents faced off, and face few injury worries going to St. Etienne. Standard midfielder Benoit Lesoimier will not make the trip, and Yoann Bigné, Oscar Ewolo, and Jonathan Ayité are doubtful for Saturday's affair.
