Franco Arizala then doubled the margin just a minute before halftime to stun the home crowd.
Morelia attempted a second half comeback but had to wait until minute 83 before scoring their only goal of the game when Adrian Aldrete's sot off a corner kick hit the crossbar and barely crossed the line before bouncing back into play. The referee signaled that it was indeed a goal so suddently Pachuca were on their heels.
But any feeling of trepidation was wiped away six minutes later when the Tuzos put the game on ice with their third goal.
