PREVIEW: MIDWEEK SWEDISH ACTION
Three American goalkeepers will take the field in Superettan action as Matt Pyzdrowkski and Brian Edwards face off in Ängelholm while Nick Noble and Ljungskile host Landskrona.
Ängelholm FF - Degerfors IF
Matt Pyzdrowkski and Ängelholm FF host Brian Edwards and Degerfors IF Thursday night as round seven of the Superettan kicks off.
The two American keepers will both start in Ängelholm but their recent efforts couldn't be more polar. Brian Edwards has earned two consecutive shut outs for his club while Matt Pyzdrowski has given up nine goals in his last two matches.
As a result, Degerfors have risen to second in the standings trailing leaders Assyriska by just three points while Ängelholm have fallen to fifth place.
Degerfors have reported that midfielder Stellan Carlsson who missed last week's 2-0 win over Landskrona with an undisclosed injury practiced with the team this week and should make the trip to Ängelholm.
Ängelholm defender Marcus Lindberg will miss a second consecutive match due to suspension.
Ljungskile - Landskrona
Nick Noble and Ljungskile will host Landskrona in an important Superettan match up Thursday night as both clubs look to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
The American goalkeeper will start between the post in hopes of turning things around for Ljungskile while Michael Thomas should also be in the starting eleven for the hosts.
The club has gone four consecutive matches since its last victory earning just a single point since then. Ljungskile sit just three points ahead of Landskrona but a loss would on Thursday would bring the two teams level.
Neither club are reporting any injuries at this time.
