PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
Ryan Miller and Halmstad face a tough visit from the Allsvenskan league leaders while Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholm will try to work their way into the Superettan top spot on their visit to Hammarby.
Halmstads BK – Helsinborgs IF
Ryan Miller will start in defense for Halmstad BK as they host league leaders Helsinborg on Monday at the Örjans Vall.
The two clubs sit at opposite ends of the Allsvenskan standings with Halmstad in last place having won just one league match this season while Helsinborg's consistency has seen the club rise to the top of the standings.
Helsinborg are coming off a particularly strong performance after scoring seven goals in their midweek thrashing of Trelleborg FF.
Neither club are reporting injuries at this time.
Ljungskile - Brommapojkarna
Ljungskile host Brommapojkarna on Monday night as Nick Noble and Michael Thomas gear up for week 14 of the Superettan.
Both Americans will start for Ljungskile, Noble in goal and Thomas in midfield, as the club looks to continue its climb up the standings and hopefully out of the middle of the pack.
Brommapojkarna on the other hand are looking to end a two match skid that has cost the club five points, dropping them from the Superettan top spot.
Brommapojkarna are without Gabriel Petrovic who is still recovering from a strained knee ligament.
Ljungskile have not reported any injuries.
Hammarby - Ängelholm
Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholm travel to take on Hammarby Monday night in search of a much needed win.
Ängelholm remain just one point out of first place despite drawing three of their last four matches.
The importance of Monday's road match up is magnified by Hammarby's own league standing as the Stockholm club is also within reach of the league lead and sit just one point behind Ängelholm in sixth place.
Just six points separate teams one through nine in the Superettan and neither club can afford to drop any more points.
Neither club have reported any injuries at this time.
Gale Agbossoumonde will likely start on the bench as Djurgården host Hacken at home on Sunday. Head coach Magnus Pehrrson will likely stick with the same starting eleven that has won Djurgården three straight matches lifting the club out of the relegation zone for the first time this season.
Samuel Petrone will also be on the bench for Mjällby AIF as they take on an Örebro team that is still without Alejandro Bedoya due to Gold Cup obligations.
