BRIAN SCIARETTA - Monday, July 18, 2011
Earlier this year, Gale Agbossoumonde joined Swedish Allsvenskan club Djurgarden on a six month loan but over the weekend the club announced it would not keep the central defender past this month.

Djurgarden press officer Jonas Riedel confirmed the news to YA on Monday morning.

Agbossoumonde, 19, turned professional in 2009 when he signed with Brazilian sports based management company Traffic Sports and his loan to Djurgarden was his second loan. In January 2010 Agbossoumonde went on loan to Portuguese club Sporting Braga for six months.

During his loan to Djurgarden, Agbossoumonde made eight appearances and seven starts. His last appearance was on May 29 when he played a full 90 in a 1-0 loss to IFK in the Swedish Cup and his last appearance in a league game was on May 26 in a 1-0 loss to Elfsborg.

Since Agbossoumonde departed from the lineup, Djurgarden have lost only once in seven games and have won five times. The loan will expire on July 31 but Djurgarden have said they will not stand in his way if he finds another club before then.
