SPECTOR FINALIZES BIRMINGHAM DEAL
After departing West Ham United at the conclusion of last season, American defender Jonathan Spector has signed a two year contract with Birmingham City of the English Championship.
Spector, 25, has spent his entire professional career in England after joining Manchester United in 2003. After a loan in 2005 to Charlton Athletic, Spector has been with West Ham United since 2006. Birmingham City will be Spector's fourth club.
"Jonathan Spector has signed a two year contract with our club," Birmingham City press officer Chris Kershaw told YA. "The deal is confirmed."
Birmingham City will be looking for a successful season in the Championship so that they can return to the Premier League after being relegated last season.
