PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
Alejandro Bedoya will lead Orebro SK this weekend in what maybe his last game for the club while Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms continue their quest for promotion when they take on Qviding.
Örebro SK - Djurgardens IF
Alejandro Bedoya and Örebro SK put their winning streak on the line as they take on Djurgardens IF in Allsvenskan action this Sunday.
Bedoya went the full ninety last week in Örebro's win over BK Häcken. The American midfielder is expected once again to start this weekend but his time at the club could be in question as Rangers are looking to acquire him before the transfer window closes.
Örebro is currently riding a three game winning streak and finally made it to the top half of the standings with last week's emphatic victory. They look to continue their momentum against a Djurgardens team that has been struggling of late.
Having only won one game in their last five, Djurgardens now find themselves just one point above a relegation playoff spot. The Blue Stripes will look to change their luck and capture the three points.
Both teams carry no suspensions and have listed no injuries.
Ljungskile SK - GIF Sundsvall
Nick Noble and Michael Thomas look to help Ljungskile SK as they take on Syrianska FC in Superettan play.
Both Americans started and went ninety minutes in last week's win over Hammarby. They look to feature once again this Sunday.
A win for Ljungskile SK would give them a three game win streak and would help them contest for a promotion spot, which Sundsvall currently holds.
Sundsvall beat Landskrona Bois last week and looks for the win, which could bolt them to the top of the standings depending on other results. They are currently the hottest team in the Superettan, having recorded seven straight wins.
Josemar Santana da Silva was booked for LSK last week and is suspended for his sixth caution of the season.
Degerfors IF - Assyriska FF
Brian Edwards looks to start in goal as Degerfors IF take on Assyriska FF.
Edwards started and went the full ninety minutes for Degerfors last week and he is expected to start at goal once again.
Degerfors lost last week against lost to Atvidabergs FF and will need to bounce back with three points if they are to keep pace for a promotion spot. They are currently three points from Sundsvall, who hold the coveted playoff spot.
Assyriska are in need of the win, holding only a two point cushion from the relegation playoff zone. They lost to Östers IF last week and look to turn their luck around this weekend.
Degerfors' forward Peter Samuelsson will be a game time decision. He is suffering from a herniated disk problem.
Ängelholms FF - Qviding FIF
Matt Pyzdrowski and Ängelholms FF take on Qviding FIF this coming Monday in Superettan play.
American Lester Dewee signed for Angelholms two weeks ago and he may make his debut for club.
Pyzdrowski started and went the distance in Ängelholms' impressive win over Västeras SK last week. He is expected to feature once again this week.
They remain atop the Superettan standings but only hold a one point lead over Atvidabergs FF. Ängelholms thus will need a win on Monday to keep their automatic promotion spot.
Qviding are currently in last place with only ten points recorded this season. They are ten points from the relegation playoff spot, and if they do not start garnering points soon, Qviding will be playing third division soccer next season.
Both teams hold no suspensions or injury problems going into Monday's game.
Ryan Miller and Halmstad look to builf on last week's win as they take on BK Hacken.
Sam Petrone hopes to feature as Mjälby faces Syrianska FC.
