BRIAN SCIARETTA - Tuesday, September 13, 2011
On Monday US Soccer announced that the US national team will host Ecuador in a friendly on October 11 in the team's first ever game at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

The game will be the second for the US during the October international window. On October 8, the US will host Honduras in Miami.

The USMNT has won its last two games against Ecuador and the last time the teams played was on March 25, 2007 when a Landon Donovan hat trick lifted the Americans to a 3-1 win.

Red Bull Arena opened in March, 2010 and is widely considered to be the finest soccer-specific stadium in the United States.

The USMNT is still searching for its first win under new head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. Since Bob Bradley was replaced in early August, the US has played to a 1-1 draw with Mexico which was followed by a pair of 1-0 losses to Costa Rica and Belgium.
