RECAP: DUNFERMLINE 0 - 4 RANGERS
Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu both got on the score sheet as Rangers cruised to a victory away to Dunfermline.
Alejandro Bedoya came in off the bench adding Scottish Premier League minutes to his stat sheet. Bocanegra netted the opener just nine minutes into the game after Rangers won an early corner. The US Mens National Team captain took his defender towards goal before back tracking to meet the flight of the ball, planting a firm header into the back of the net.
Edu made it two in the 17th minute after picking up possession 20 yards from goal. After a flurry of tackles Edu was dished possession and the midfielder wasted little time unleashing a rocket from distance past Paul Gallacher. His celebration was tame, throwing his hands up in victory before being surrounded by teammates.
Steven Naismith took over after half time as he netted twice to ensure the victory. His first goal came just six minutes after the restart after a beautiful ball from Steven Davis. Naismith and Nikica Jelavic ran opposite runs which caught the defenders off gaurd, and Davis' cross sent Naismith in who finished past Gallacher with ease.
Just nine minutes before the final whistle Naismith grabbed his second after a solo run from Davis. This time the midfielder elected to play Naismith's strike partner, but Jelavic chipped the ball across the six yard box for Naismith to net from close range.
Alex Keddle picked up the only yellow card in the game. Rangers will be back in action in Tuesday as Kilmarnock come to Ibrox Stadium.
