Alejandro Bedoya joined Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu in the starting 11 as Rangers picked up another home win against Hibernian.

Bedoya picked up his first start for the Glasgow club after notching successful substitute minutes in recent games. The midfielder was subbed off at half time as Jamie Ness made his return from injury.

Kyle Lafferty thought he had done enough to send Rangers into the break a goal up after being taken down in the box by Graham Stack. Steven Whittaker and Nikica Jelavic argued over who would take the spot kick, with the former winning the battle but ultimately blazing his shot over the cross bar.

Ness thought he had scored after 15 minutes on the field but his shot was called back after the offside flag had been raised.

Rangers did break the deadlock in the 68th minute when Gregg Wylde's cross was tucked home by Lafferty at the back post.

Edu tried his luck but Stack was equal to the American's shot, and Jelavic's rebound was ruled offside. Lafferty was the only Rangers player to pick up a yellow card while Paul Hanlon picked up a card for Hibs.

Up next for Rangers is another home game, this time playing St. Mirren at Ibrox Stadium.
