RECAP: RANGERS 1 - 1 ST MIRREN
Carlos Bocanegra and Muarice Edu started as Rangers gave up a last gap goal to give away points at home after controlling the game.
Edu had a chance in the first half but was unable to convert from within the area. Steven Davis' corner found the American in the box but his bulleted header went just wide of the post.
The goal eventually came just after the break through none other than Nikica Jelavic. The frontman continued his fine run of goal scoring after picking possession from the industry of Kyle Lafferty before rifling home from 12 yards.
Jelavic thought he had a second as Steven Naismith, in his first game back from suspension, sent in a delightful cross. The goal scorer was alone inside the six yard box but his header was straight at Craig Samson to deny the chance.
Joroen Tesselaar got a late chance for St Mirren but Allan McGregor stood his ground to make the save. McGregor would not be so lucky in the dying seconds as Steven Thompson got on the end of a David van Zanten cross to tie it up.
Alejandro Bedoya did not make the line up for Rangers but will look to be reinstated in Tuesday's friendly game over Liverpool on Tuesday.
