PREVIEW: WEEKEND ENGLISH ACTION
Tim Howard and Landon Donovan hope to guide Everton to victory as they take on Tamworth FA Cup play, while Clint Dempsey and Fulham take on Charlton Athletic in cup play as well.
Tottenham Hotspur - Cheltenham
Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur hope their strong league play translates to the FA Cup as they take on Cheltenham on Saturday.
The American ‘keeper is the regular starter for Spurs, though FA Cup play could give Harry Redknapp a shot at giving his number one a break. Carlo Cudicini would be the likely substitute if Friedel does not go.
Redknapp has hinted at leaving out Gareth Bale and Emmanuel Adebayor for the contest, but Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe are expected to take part.
Spurs are coming off a win over West Bromwich Albion last weekend and hope that play continues this Saturday at White Hart Lane.
Cheltenham goes into the contest strong, having not lost in over nine games in League Two play. Jimmy Spencer and Marlon Pack have been injured but are expected to start nonetheless this weekend.
Everton - Tamworth

Howard and Donovan featured in Everton's loss to Bolton last weekend, although the American ‘keeper did surprisingly record a goal. Both should feature once again for Everton.
Everton coach will have his hands full after Jack Rodwell, Leon Osman, and Phil Jagielka all left the Bolton game with knjuries.
Prior to the Bolton loss, the Toffees had gone four games unbeaten. They hope to get back to winning ways against the Conference side at Goodison Park.
The Lambs are struggling in their league play, as they stand in 15th place and have not won a game since their victory over Gateshead in the second round of the FA Cup.
Norwich City - Burnley
Zak Whitbread and Norwich City take on Burnley in cup competition on Saturday.
Whitbread has been a regular starter since coming back from a hamstring injury earlier this season. The center back could feature once again.
The Canaries are coming off an away win at Queens Park Rangers and hope that momentum continues against Burnley. It was their first win in five games for City.
Ritchie De Laet, Marc Tierney, James Vaughan, and Elliott Ward look to miss because of injuries for Norwich.
Burnley are in 10th place in the Championship, and prior to last week's loss to Leeds United, they had won three straight games. They hope to go back to winning ways against the Canaries.
Bristol City - Aston Villa
Brad Guzan and Aston Villa travel to play Bristol City in Saturday FA Cup action.
Guzan took place at ‘keeper for regular starter Shay Given last month when the Irish international was injured. The former Chivas USA goalie should start once again this weekend.
Villa are coming off a tough home loss to Swansea City and look to bounce back from that defeat. They have only won one game in their last five.
Rovers have lost four games straight in league play and are just above the relegation zone. A win in cup play would be huge for a team that has had a tough first half of the season.
Eric Lichaj continues to miss because of injury for Villa.
Fulham - Charlton Athletic
Clint Dempsey and Fulham hosts Charlton Athletic in an FA Cup battle at Craven Cottage.
The Texan is a regular starter for Fulham and could feature in Saturday's matchup.
Fulham are coming off a big win over Arsenal on Monday and have now distanced themselves from the relegation zone. They hope that momentum continues into the weekend.
Charlton beat Brentford on Monday and are on top of the League One standings. They hope to shock the Premier League team on Saturday.
Marc Schwarzer, Simon Davies, and Zdenek Grygera are the injury worries for the Cottagers.
Birmingham City - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City take on Premier League's Wolverhampton Wanderers in cup play.
Spector started and played 86 minutes in City's tie against Peterborough United. He could feature this weekend.
Birmingham have gone eleven games unbeaten at home and look to defend that mark as they play at St. Andrews once again.
Wolves have gone six games without a win and hope to snap that unfortunate streak this weekend.
The Blues could give teenager Nathan Redmond a shot at midfield.
Steven Fletcher looks to be rested for Wolverhampton.
Sheffield Wednesday - West Ham United
Daniel Potts and West Ham United look for a cup victory against Sheffield Wednesday.
Potts has featured regularly since making his first team debut. He could see some time for the Hammers on Sunday.
West Ham is coming off a win over Coventry City on Monday and hope to duplicate that result this weekend.
Wednesday are having a strong season in League One and find themselves in second place in the standings. They have won two games straight and look to make it three against the Hammers.
Stuart Holden is injured and will not feature in Bolton's FA Cup game against Macclesfield Town.
