It did not take long for Celik to pull ahead. In the 5th minute Avdija Vrsajevic scored off a pass on the right side from Dario Puric to give Celik a 1-0 lead.

In the next few minutes Velez almost equalized through Brkovic who had two very good chances saved by Celik keeper Salih Hinovic.

In the 21st minute Velez found the back of the net through Amer Jugo who hit a 22 yard blast from outside the box past Hinovic to even the score at 1-1.

In the second half, the game was tight and neither team had many chances. The game would end 1-1 and Velez seemed satisfied to earn a point on the road.
