Tim Ream and Bolton crashed out fo the FA Cup with a loss to Tottenham, while Frank Simek and Carlisle United beat Milton Keynes Dons in League One play.

Tottenham Hotspurs 3 - 1 Bolton Wanderers

Tim Ream and Bolton went down to Tottenham in FA Cup action.

Ream came on in the 28th minute for Darre Pratley and played the rest of the game.

Brad Friedel is a regular starter for Tottenham but was given a day off.

Ryan Nelsen opened the scoring for Spurs in the 74th minute with a terrific header across the goal.

Gareth Bale then notched the second goal for Spurs moments later when his left footed shot finished off an impressive counter attack in the 77th minute.

Kevin Davies got one back for Bolton when he knocked home a cross with his left foot in the 90th minute.

Louis Saha though nabbed an insurance goal in stoppage time for Spurs with a rocket shot from over 20 yards out.

Pratley received the only yellow card of the game for Bolton.

Tottenham takes on Swansea City in over a week and a half, while Bolton Wolverhampton.

Milton Keynes Dons 1 -2 Carlisle United

Frank Simek and Carlisle United were victorious in midweek action against Milton Keynes Dons.

Simek started and went the distance once again for the Cumbrians.

MK Dons was on their way to three points as Steven Williams scored the first goal of the game on a penalty kick in the 80th minute.

But, Jordan Cook scored two goals in the final minutes of the game to put the Cumbrians in the win column.

MK Dons dominated the game, with over 60% possession and over 10 shots compared to 2 by Carlisle.

Danny Livesey and Peter Murphy were booked for Carlisle.

MK Dons takes on Brentford this weekend, while Carlisle plays Huddersfield Town.

Notes

Daniel Potts did not feature in West Ham United's win over Peterborough United.

Robbie Findley did not make the game day roster in Nottingham Forest's tie with Leicester City.
