RECAP: CHIEVO VERONA 3 - 2 CATANIA CALCIO
SCOTT PETERSON - Monday, April 9, 2012
Michael Bradley became the first American international to score in the Serie A in over a decade as Chievo picked up a victory over Catania on Saturday.

Bradley and Chievo got an early goal, when the American took a feed from Sergio Pellissier in the box and hit his one-time shot into the back of the net with the inside of his right foot.

Pellissier then got on the scorer's sheet himself 15 minutes later converting a penalty as Nicolas Spolli fouled Pellissier in the box and was shown a straight red card.

The guests pulled one back in the 32nd minute, when Marco Andreolli deflected a cross past his own keeper and into goal.

Chievo restored their two-goal advantage in the 51st minute as Alberto Palsoschi took a pass from Pellissier, rounded Catania keeper Juan Carrizo and slotted home from close range.

In the waning minutes of the second half, Catania pulled one back as Sergio Almiron got onto a bounding cross in front of goal to tap into an open net to finish off the days' scoring.

The victory leaves Chievo in eighth place with 42 points. Up next is a Tuesday match against AC Milan.
