PREVIEW: MIDWEEK NORWEGIAN ACTION
Sean Cunningham, Ricardo Clark and Stabæk will look to avoid an upset while Sebastian Troupe will try to lead Bærum through to the next round against Drammen.
Lommedalen IL - Stabæk IF
Stabæk hopes to boost morale and avoid an upset against fourth division team Lommedalen.
Americans Sean Cunningham and Ricardo Clark could feature for Stabæk, although they may be rested for Tippeligaen action this weekend.
This is Lommedalen's first time qualifying for the tournament. Last season, Hønefoss bounced Stabæk in the third round.
Lommedalen is not reporting injuries at this time. Stabæk will be without forward Torstein Andersen Aase, who suffered a head injury in his team's 2-0 loss to Odd Grenland Saturday.
Røa - Hønefoss BK
Hønefoss travels to fourth division Røa in its first round matchup in the Norwegian Cup.
American goalkeeper Steve Clark and striker Kenneth di Vita Jensen could feature for Hønefoss, although they may be rested against a team three tiers below them in Norway.
Røa won two matches against Gjerdrum (3-2) and Rust (2-1) in order to qualify for the tournament. Røa's last win in the tournament came in 2009, when they beat Manglerunf Star in the first round.
Last year, Hønefoss reached the fourth round before crashing out to Molde 3-1.
Røa's injury list is unavailable. Hønefoss will be without Vegard Gjermundstad and midfielder Leo Olson.
Sprint-Jeløy SK - Mjøndalen IF
Mjøndalen looks to continue its success in the Norwegian Cup in recent years when it takes on fourth division Sprint-Jeløy.
American duo Rhett Bernstein and Kyle Helton could start at central defense for Mjøndalen.
In the last three years, Mjøndalen has reached at least the third round, including reaching the last 16 in 2009.
Sprint-Jeløy has qualified for the Norwegian Cup in back-to-back years after a two year hiatus from the competition. Last year, the team lost in the first round to Sparta Sarpsborg.
Mjøndalen will be without midfielders Bjarne K. Ingebretsen and Anders Karlsen and forward Fredrik Gulsvik. Sprint-Jeløy is not reporting injuries.
Drammen FK - Bærum SK
Bærum hopes to get its first win this year against fourth division Drammen.
American defender Sebastian Troupe could start at either leftback or centerback for Bærum.
Bærum has allowed three goals in every game so far this season, which leaves the team in last place in the Adeccoligaen.
As a club, Drammen has existed only since 2008 but has qualified for the Norwegian Cup in four of its five years of existence. In its first appearance in 2008, Drammen beat Fram Larvik 2-1 in extra time.
Bærum could be without defenders Thomas Jensen and Morten Ruud Irgens because of injury. Drammen is not reporting injuries at this time.
American winger Joshua Gatt will probably not feature for Molde in its first round game against fourth division opponent Sunndal.
