PREVIEW: WEEKEND SWEDISH ACTION
Matt Pyzdrowski and Angelholms hope to gain ground on Halmstad in the promotion race while Degerfors look to hand Osters their first loss of the season and climb out of the relegation playoffs.
Osters IF - Degerfors IF
Brian Edwards and his Degerfors teammates face an uphill battle when they travel to take on Degerfors this weekend.
While Degerfors have recovered from a terrible start which had them at the bottom of the standings, they still sit in 13th place out of 16 in the Superettan.
Osters meanwhile have been on fire all season and have yet to lose a game and have drawn only once, picking up 40 out of 42 possible points in the process.
Degerfors aren't missing anyone due to injury or suspension while Osters will be without Elmin Nurkics with a knee injury and Andrew Wihlborgs because of a thigh problem.
Angelholm FF - Varberg BoIS
Matt Pyzdrowski will take his spot between the posts as Angelholm take on Varberg.
Angelholm have put themselves in a position to challenge for promotion into the Allsvenskan, as they are currently in fourth place, four points behind Halmstad who hold the final spot in the promotion playoffs.
One player who wont suit up again for Angelholm is Lester Dewee. The Texas born striker was released by the club last week after an injury riddled start to the season which saw him forced to the fringes of the first team.
Angelholm are currently ravaged by injuries, as first team players Tobias Johansson, Andreas Karlsson, Gabriel Ucar and Martin Anderson are unavailable due to an assortment of malaises.
Varberg's fortunes are much better as they aren't missing any significant players for the match.
Trelleborg FF - Ljungskile SK
Patrick Hopkins will be in central defense when Ljungskile travel to take on Trelleborg.
Steffen Vroom will most likely not be back for the match as the striker is still struggling to regain fitness after picking up an injury a few weeks ago.
Ljungskile will hope to pick up maximum points in order to break out of the crowded pack in the middle of Superettan, where they currently sit in seventh place, only seven points away from a potential promotion place. They're even closer to relegation though, six points ahead of Degerfors who hold the top spot in relegation playoffs, one spot above Trelleborg.
The hosts have sputtered of late, losing five of their last six, only managing two wins through their first 14 games. They are not reporting any injuries for this contest.
