Steve Clark and Hønefoss' struggles holding late leads continued against Brann Monday.

Brann had control of the game from the start, with Clark needing to bail out his defenders multiple times. However, in the 42nd minute, Brann broke through with a cross by Tomasz Sokolowski to Fredrik Nordkvelle, who stepped in front of a Hønefoss defender and barely beat Clark to the near side.

Hønefoss came roaring back in the second half, scoring back-to-back goals. First, in the 6th minute, Mikkel Vendelbo outran his defender to a deflected ball that put him on net alone, and his shot went in the back of the net after being tipped by Brann goalkeeper Piotr Leciejewski.

Then, in the 74th minute, Kevin Bosse Elie Beugre slid off his defender to meet a Kevin Larsen and tap the ball in from close range.

That lead wasn't safe, though, and Hønefoss conceded two goals to two different Brann substitutes after the 85th minute to complete its collapse. In the 87th minute, Bard Find was at the right place at the right time, picking up a deflection off a Hønefoss defender and beating Clark from eight yards out.

Kristoffer Larsen then gave Brann the three points in the third minute of stoppage time, when he took two touches to the center of the field fired a rocket 22 yards away that Clark could only get a hand to but couldn't stop from going into the net.

With the loss, Hønefoss' winless streak extended to eight games. The team returns to action Oct. 21 against Stabæk.
