Jozy Altidore and AZ look to continue their momentum this Thursday when they face amateur club VV Sneek in the third round of the KNVB Cup.

AZ impressed last weekend against third-place Vitesse, carving through one of the Eredivisie's top defenses.

Altidore was a key figure in his team's attack, combining nicely with attacking midfielders Roy Beerens and Johann Gudhmundsson throughout the game. The striker also found himself a few quality scoring chances but couldn't find the back of the net.

It has been an abysmal season for VV Sneek. Although they've won two Cup games to get to this point, their last place in the Topklasse with only four points. The amateur team has gone 1-9-1 in the league this year with their lone win coming in their first game in August.

AZ will be without Ruud Boymans, Maarten Martens and Fernando Lewis due to injuries. VV Sneek are not reporting any absences for the encounter.
