DANISH CUP QUARTERFINAL DRAW
The quarterfinal round of the Danish Cup has been determined, setting up a potential derby matchup for Clarence Goodson and his ailing Brøndby teammates.
The fourth round saw the exit of both Michael Parkhurst's Nordsjaelland as well as Conor O'Brien and SønderjyskE.
Nordsjaelland's vanquishers Midtjylland will once again face a team featuring American talent, as they have been drawn against Charlie Davies and Randers.
Davies made his first-ever start for Randers in their 1-0 fourth-round win over Vejle, and is a strong possibility to be called upon in one way or another as he slowly works his way back into his coach's plans.
Similarly, Copenhagen, who knocked off Conor O'Brien and SønderjyskE, could very well be facing a quarterfinal pairing with another team containing an influential American presence, albeit one much closer to home.
Should Brøndby win their still to be played fourth-round game against Silkeborg on Wednesday, then they will be tasked with hosting the reigning cup holders Copenhagen in the late-November quarterfinal.
The same teams met just one year ago in the fourth round of the competition in Brøndby stadium, with Copenhagen having no problems to sweep aside their city rivals in a 3-0 victory.
The games are set to be played in the midweek, either in the final week of November or the first week in December, with exact dates still to be determined.
