RECAP: ULL/KISA IL 0 - 4 SANDNES ULF
Kenneth di Vita Jensen and Ull/Kisa allowed three late goals to Sandnes Ulf on Wednesday to all but seal anotehr season in the 1. Division.
Finishing sixth in the second flight, Ull/Kisa rode a wave of upsets es to get into the final round of the promotion playoffs by using a game plan that involved sitting back and hitting its opponents on the counterattack.
On Wednesday, that plan didn't work.
The home team struggled from the start, and Sandnes Ulf took the lead in the 24th minute. Morten Bertolt picked up a failed clearance at the edge of the box and hit a low shot past Ull/Kisa goalkeeper Arnold Origi Otiend.
Ull/Kisa struggled until 10 minutes remaining in the first half, but Sandnes Ulf still took a one-goal lead into halftime.
Although Ull/Kisa kept the match close for much of the second half, everything fell apart for the home team after the 80th minute. At that point, Arnor Ingvi Traustason sent a low cross that went through a Sandnes Ulf forward and Origi before reaching Christian Gytkjær, who easily tapped the ball into the back of the net.
Then, in the 85th minute, Marius Helle put his team up three goals off a Bjørnar Holmvik corner. His shot from 12 yards out bounced off the ground and squeaked into the top left corner of the net.
Ull/Kisa's nightmare got worse in the first minute of stoppage time. Holmvik fired a 21-yard shot that flew into the top right corner of the net.
Di Vita Jensen picked up his second yellow card of the promotion playoffs in his 90 minutes of action.
With the loss, Ull/Kisa will need to score at least five goals in order to play in the Tippeligaen next season. The final match of the series occurs Saturday at Sandnes Ulf.
