Carlos Bocanegra and Racing Santander fell into last place in the Segunda following a loss to Las Palmas on Saturday.

Las Palmas 1 - 0 Racing Santander

Carlos Bocanegra was healthy enough to play 90 minutes as Racing Santander fell at Las Palmas on Saturday.

The frustration for Racing Santander continues as a 27th minute Vitolo strike was enough to sink the Highlanders in the Canary Islands. Bocanegra was officially a manager's decision due to lower back pain earlier in the week.

With the loss, Racing is alone in last place in the league with 18 points and have the lowest goal differential, which is currently -15. Málaga loanee Juanmi made his debut for Racing but was unable to find the back of the net for the struggling team.

Las Palmas remain in sixth position with the win, 14 behind league leader's Elche. Racing next face off against eighth place Córdoba at home next weekend

Oguchi Onyewu did not make the 18 as Málaga drew with Celta de Vigo on Saturday. Their next match is at home against Barcelona in Copa del Rey action
