SCOTT PETERSON - Monday, January 28, 2013
Jozy Altidore and AZ Alkmaar will look to avoid the upset in the quarterfinals of the Dutch Cup against second-tier team FC Den Bosch.

Altidore figures to be the fulcrum of the Alkmaar attack as the New Jersey native has been enjoying his finest season as a professional tallying a career-high 15 goals already in domestic play.

Without Altidore's knack for scoring goals the season could be even worse for the Cheese Farmers, currently sit in the middle of the pack in ninth place with 24 points.

Alkmaar will hope to salvage the disappointing campaign by progressing to Europe through the cup.

Standing in their way to the semis is second-division outfit FC Den Bosch. Alkmaar would be wise to take the threat seriously posed by Den Bosch, as they disposed of Eredivise team Twente Enschede to set up the quarterfinal tie.

Kickoff is scheduled for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. local time in s'-Hertogenbosch.
