PREVIEW: BURSASPOR - GALATASARAY
Maurice Edu and Bursaspor welcome Turkish giants and league leader's Galatasaray to Bursa on Saturday.
Bursaspor Manager Ertuğrul Sağlam announced his resignation from the club on Wednesday after four years in charge and the club's only Turkish League title, in 2009-10.
Edu and struggling Bursaspor will look to bounce back after 4-1 drubbing at the hands of Istanbul BB last week. The Bursa club is currently in seventh position with 27 points.
Star studded Galatasaray will look to their new signings Wesley Sneijder and Didier Drogba to make an impact right away. However, Drogba is representing the Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations and will be unavailable for this weekend's match. Sneijder expects to start and will look to get his first goal since joining the defending Turkish champs.
The Cimbom will be without Brazilian defender Felipe Melo, who was shown a straight red card last week in their 2-1 win over rivals Beşiktaş. He was given a four match suspension and a $13,000 fine for the incident.
Bursaspor are likely to be without Argentine Fernando Belluschi, who has missed several matches with a leg injury.
The atmosphere in the Bursa Atatürk Stadium should be compelling as Bursa fans have reacted loudly to the team's losing over the past several weeks. The Bursaspor Executives and team captains each held separate press conferences this week urging fans to stick together and support the team through this trying time and through the resignation Sağlam.
