RECAP: AS ROMA 3 - 1 GENOA
Michael Bradley came on as first-half substitute to help Roma to victory over Genoa Sunday night in Serie A action.
AS Roma 3 - 1 Genoa
Bradley entered the match in the 39th minute of the first half after Miralem Pjanic hurt his ankle; his availability next week is very much in doubt.
Roma opened the scoring in the 16th minute through Giallorossi captain Francesco Totti, who converted from the spot after Genoa defender Cesare Bovo clipped Danielle de Rossi in the box bringing him to ground.
The goal was Totti's 225th in the Serie A, which moves him into a tie for second on the all-time goals scored list.
Genoa snatched an equalizer in the 41st minute on a penalty of their own with former Roma striker Marco Borriello stepping up to convert.
Roma regained the lead in the 58th minute, as Totti whipped in a corner kick from the left that 18-year-old Alessio Romagnoli skied up to convert with a well-placed header.
Totti had a hand in the third Roma goal as well, picking out Simone Perrotta in the box. Perrotta converted with a one-time snap shot from close range in the 88th minute to give the Romans all three points.
Roma is now in seventh place, two points back of Fiorentina. Up next for Bradley and Roma is a road match versus Udinese Saturday night.
