BRADLEY TO JOIN MONCHENGLADBACH
Monday, September 1, 2008

SC Heerenveen

Bradley scored often at Heerenveen

US international Michael Bradley will join recently promoted Borussia Mönchengladbach from Dutch team SC Heerenveen pending a successful physical.

"Micheal is undergoing medical tests throughout today," 'Gladbach press officer Micheal Lessenich confirmed to YA Monday morning. "We will be holding a press conference at 1130am where we hope to be able to present him as a Borussia player.

"We are confident that there will be no problems with the medical, and that the deal will be rubber stamped this afternoon."

Bradley, 21, was the subject of numerous inquiries over the summer, among them, Everton, Middlesbrough and Hamburg. The American had made it clear that he would not be resigning with Heerenveen after this season.

Terms of the deal will remain undisclosed, although it is thought that MLS will receive a portion of the transfer fee as par of their original deal with Heerenveen.

The son of US head coach, Bradley scored 19 times from 61 games through all competitions in Holland, in the process setting an American top-flight record with 15 goals in last season's Eredivisie.

Bradley becomes the second American to play for the storied German club, following the footsteps of goalkeeper Kasey Keller.
