FREEMAN OUT MONTH WITH ANKLE DAMAGE
Brent Latham - Monday, April 20, 2009
IK Start defender Hunter Freeman will miss three to four weeks after sustaining ligament damage in this weekend's match against Aalesunds.

"I will get a MRI in the next day or two," the former New York Red Bull said. "As of now, looks like I stretched some ligaments and have a bone bruise."

The former US Under-20 international sustained the injury at the hands of some rough play from Aalesunds midfielder Demar Phillips, and had to be stretchered off in just the eighth minute of the match.

"I was on the end of a really bad tackle, and rolled my ankle," Freeman said.

Freeman, who has been a regular on the right side of defense for Start at the beginning of this campaign, says he will now miss at least a few weeks.

"For now, looks like three to four weeks at least."

The Texas native had played four consecutive games at right back, going the full ninety in each of his appearances.
