FERRARI TRAINING WITH ODENSE
Arch Bell - Wednesday, January 20, 2010
Former US Under-20 international Gabriel Ferrari is spending this week in Denmark training with Superliga club Odense BK.

Ferrari, who signed with Serie A club Sampdoria back in January of 2007, has spent the previous two seasons on loan to lower division Italian clubs Perugia and Foggia.

The current Danish league leaders have indicated that Ferrari will be practicing with the club for the next several days but that a decision on whether or not to extend a contract offer to the New York native remains in doubt.

"He arrived yesterday and I think he will stay here to train for the rest of the week," confirmed Odense spokesman Asger Torning to YA. "Right now he's just training with us, but I don't know what the team's plans are for him after that."

In his three years in Italy, Ferrari has made appearances in 29 total matches, but just one appearance for Sampdoria coming in a Coppa Italia match versus Inter Milan in February of 2007.

Ferrari may have improved more on his italian than he has at his goal scoring.

Thanks for the update. With the current striker crisis, I was wondering what happened to Ferrari.
